South Whitehaven Centre development
To launch our South Whitehaven SureStart Children’s Centre we will be holding an open day on Friday 2nd September from 10 am until 2 pm at the new premises, which are situated at the Valley Primary School on Whinlatter Road, Mirehouse, CA28 8QZ (the former CDC building nearest the road).
There will be lots of fun activities including Face painting, Bouncy Castle, Food/Drinks, Art and Craft activities, Tombola, Table top sale, and lots more!
Members of the Police and Fire Service will also be available to offer Community Advice.

Children’s Centre Contract
We are pleased to announce that after a rigorous and competitive tendering process Howgill Family Centre has been awarded the contract by the Local Authority to operate the Children’s Centres in North and South Whitehaven, North East Copeland and Egremont until March 2014. This allows us to continue and extend the important work we currently carry out in those areas. We would like to thank all our clients and partners who have supported and encouraged us leading up to and during this process.
