Who We Are
Howgill Family Centre are a registered Charity who have been operating in the Communities of Whitehaven and the surrounding areas of Copeland for 35 years.
We currently employ over 60 staff and 40 volunteers delivering services in the North Copeland area. Our headquarters and administrative centre are located, at Birks Road Cleator Moor (next to the new Health Centre)
What We Do
Howgill Family Centre started with a group of parents who got together to provide pre-school activities for children up to age five in a building on Howgill Street.
This remains a key element of what the organisation does today, albeit on a very much larger scale.
We provide education, skills, health, and social care services for children and their families across Copeland and West Cumbria. From practical support to therapeutic intervention, Howgill is here to help.
Where we work
As the Local Authority contracted provider for the whole of the Copeland area, in addition to our outreach sessions as listed in the what’s on section, we have permanent facilities in several locations. For details pleaseClick Here
