We provide a welcoming environment that stimulates young minds and their families, promote creativity, and lay great foundations for both social and curricular education. 

Our friendly team of staff are always happy to welcome you and your child for a tour of the facilities on offer at our nurseries. You will not find a better place for your baby, toddler, and preschool children to flourish. 

As we are a charity, we are committed to enabling all children in our local community to access their entitlement to free nursery education without extra top up fees to access your child’s free place.  


Cleator Moor Nursery

Cleator Moor nursery is our largest nursery catering from birth to 4 years old. With individual rooms for age specific groups, we are proud of our warm nurturing learning environment and strong community links.

Mirehouse Nursery

Our nursery is for 2-year-olds where we offer a wider range of educational and fun activities to stimulate their expanding minds. Our large outdoor play area is perfect for children to play and explore.

Kells Nursery

Our setting is based within an open plan portacabin for 2 – 3-year-olds. Our cabin overlooks the Irish Sea, with views to the Isle of Man and the Scottish Galloway coastline.

Whitehaven Nursery

Our setting has been open for over 20 years and we are proud to offer you long term qualified friendly staff within an environment where 2 – 4-year-olds feel welcome, safe, and secure whilst they learn and grow.

Early Years I CAN – Early Talk & Working with Parents

All our settings are Early Years I AN – Early Talk and Working With Parents accredited.  We help support the communication needs of children from birth to age 5 through a range of strategies and techniques.  We also enhance parental support of early communication development.

Early Years Professional Development Programme

The Early Years Professional Development Programme is a key element of the national government initiative to improve children’s outcomes in early language, literacy and mathematics. It is specifically targeted at Early Years Practitioners who work with the most disadvantaged children between the ages of 2 and 4 years, with an emphasis on improving school readiness

Smile 4 Life

Smile 4 Life - All our nurseries are working towards the Smile 4 Life accreditation.  We will be encouraging healthy eating, regular toothbrushing and a healthy lifestyle.

The communication between staff and parents that Tapestry enables, helps build a shared understanding of how every child can reach their full potential, from birth to the end of primary school. The Tapestry online learning journal is also available as an easy-to-use, secure app, meaning capturing key learning moments, and videoing milestones are even easier.
