At Howgill Family Centre, our community outreach work is at the heart of everything we do. We provide support to people of all ages, from young families to older and more isolated members of our community. Our aim is to ensure that everyone feels valued, supported and connected, no matter their circumstances. This work is important because it helps bring people together, reducing loneliness and isolation. It also offers practical support through activities, advice and simply being there to listen when someone needs it most. By strengthening these connections, we help create a community where people feel included and are able to thrive. Volunteers are a vital part of making this possible. They bring their time, compassion and unique skills, offering a friendly face and a listening ear to those who need it. Every volunteer has something special to contribute, whether that’s their time, life experience, energy, or fresh ideas that help us grow and reach more people.
By joining us as a volunteer, you are doing more than giving your time , you are helping to build a stronger, kinder and more connected community. Together, we can make a real difference in the lives of local people.
