Howgill Engagement and Achievement Programme (HEAP) is a new project providing opportunities to inform adults and children about jobs, skills and enrichment opportunities in the local area. We will be working closely with our partners OneAIM JV, to share information on training and employment programs that are available and how to access these. Through a variety of events and workshops we will provide guidance and support on training, problem solving and skills for life.
We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who joined us at our first event! During our first event we had a variety of activities through different companies; we were joined by Morgan Sindall, Amentum, iSH, Citizens Advice Copeland and the Pheonix Enterprise Centre who gave wonderful advice to the community.
We had many activitys like dressing up as a Project Manager and spot problems that may occur, make your own savings pot, building a stable house to survuve a earthquake, palying with robo dog and so much more!
